Mr. Hootnick’s notable engagements include, among others, transactions involving Olympia & York, ICO Global Communications, General Motors, LightSquared, and American Airlines.
Mr. Hootnick has had a long career of providing restructuring advice to companies, creditors, shareholders and other interested parties on restructuring transactions both in Chapter 11 and in non-bankruptcy resolutions. After beginning his career as an attorney at Kramer, Levin, Naftalis & Frankel, Mr. Hootnick began his investment banking career at Wasserstein, Perella & Co., became a founding member of Miller Buckfire, and served as a Managing Director at Greenhill & Co., Imperial Capital, Gleacher & Co. and Moelis & Co.

Mr. Hootnick earned a BS, with honors, in Finance at Lehigh University and received a JD from New York University School of Law.
