Mr. Chung’s notable engagements include transactions involving VICI Properties Inc., Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, Eastman Kodak and Newpage Corporation, among other clients.
Mr. Chung joined Millstein & Co. in 2016 and throughout his career has had extensive experience advising companies and stakeholders in complex restructuring & recapitalization transactions. His experience also includes representations in municipal restructurings, M&A and general corporate finance advisory transactions.
Mr. Chung’s recent debtor-side experience includes representing Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, Seventy-Seven Energy, Vantage Drilling Company, Dendreon Corporation, Maxcom Telecommunicaciones S.A.B. de C.V., Eastman Kodak and Newpage Corporation in their chapter 11 cases. Other company representations include advising VICI Properties Inc. in its equity private placement and repurchase of CMBS mezzanine debt, Goodrich Petroleum Corporation in certain out-of-court debt-for-debt exchanges, iStar Financial Inc. in its out-of-court balance sheet recapitalization and Thomas Nelson, Inc. in its out-of-court debt-for-equity exchange.
Mr. Chung’s recent creditor-side advisory experience includes advising the Official Committee of Retirees of the City of Detroit in the City of Detroit’s chapter 9 proceedings and advising the US Treasury in respects to its investments in Ally Financial Inc., General Motors and Chrysler.
Prior to joining Millstein and Co., Mr. Chung was a member of the restructuring group at Lazard, where he represented companies and stakeholders in restructuring and recapitalization transactions.
Mr. Chung holds a A.B. in Economics from Harvard College and a J.D./M.B.A. from New York University Law School / Stern School of Business.
